They come in a wide array of fabrics, materials and patterns that allow you to make sure that your futon would be able to complement whatever décor you already have from tropical to traditional.

They're flexible and handy things you could have on your futon bed. Our modern lifestyle demands that they be easy to clean and easily removed for washing. This allows to you to have a fun and easy time changing the theme of a space in your home. You can buy various styles to conveniently change the décor whenever you want to. It's actually a relatively inexpensive way to alter the look and feel of a room throughout the year.

Once you decide that you want to want to use a futon cover, there are a couple of things to keep in mind before you set out to shop. The first thing is to ensure that you know the size of your futon mattress. This is because the mattresses have various sizes as well as various thicknesses available so you would need to consider these aspects of your mattress as you search for the most suitable futon covers.

The most common size of futon mattresses would be the full size which has a 54" X 75" dimension and the queen size which has a 60" X 80" dimension. The thicknesses, on the other hand, could range from around 6" to 10". The simplest and best way to know what the size of your futon mattress is would be to measure it. You might even want to bring along a measuring tape as you shop for your futon covers so that you would be sure that you would be getting one that would meet your needed measurements. Most of the packaging will have the measurements on the outside, but you may find some that don't.

You would also need to consider the design of the cover's fabric. Make sure that you consider the décor of the room or space where you would be using the futon in. If you have décor that is more on the subtle side then you might want to go for a cover with plain fabric. Now, if you are redecorating a sunroom, then the ones that have a tropical fabric might work. If you would be using it in a funky loft apartment, then a retro pattern might be a refreshing and unique idea.
